Scopo del progetto - Project aims and objectives

Lo scopo del progetto è creare un sito di riferimento per la monetazione classica: romana in prima istanza, greca in seconda. Vogliamo rendere disponibile al pubblico la più ampia fonte dati possibile per la catalogazione delle monete e la ricerca di informazioni storico/culturali sulla numismatica classica. Per far questo, oltre a creare una nostra catalogazione delle monete (con riferimenti a quelle internazionalmente riconosciute) che aggiorniamo continuamente con nuove monete, vogliamo pubblicare articoli e link ad altri siti che reputiamo di interesse e meritevoli. Se volete contribuire al progetto inviateci vostre pubblicazioni o segnalateci siti sulla monetazione classica, provvederemo a pubblicarli.

The project aim is to create the reference site for classical numismatics: in first instance roman and then greek. We want to offer to intenet users the most complete repository of classical coins to make people able to identify their coins and to research historical/cultural info about classical numismatic art. To obtain this objective we have created our own coins reference system (linked with international catalogues) and we continuosly improve it with new coins. We also want to put into the site articles and references to other web sites that improve the information offer. If you want to contribute to the project send us your articlaes and papers or signal us interesting web sites.

Marco Pavan si e' laureato in Scienze statistische indirizzo Economico-Finanziario e lavora presso una banca della provincia di Rovigo.
Abramo Pavan si e' laureato in Ingegneria Informatica, ha un master in "Gestione dell'innovazione e project management", lavora presso una multinazionale dell'elettronica della provincia di Padova.

Marco Pavan is a graduate in Statistics Science with economic-financial address and works at a bank in the province of Rovigo.
Abramo Pavan is a graduate in Computer Engineering, has a master's degree in "Innovation management and project management" and works at a electronics multinational in the province of Padua.
